And that’s assuming you run an Anavar only cycle which is not very common. If Anavar is stacked with other anabolic steroids then the suppressing effect is going to be increased, thus a PCT plan is an absolutely recommended thing.
Remember that a Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) is implemented for retaining gains, remaining healthy and reducing the recovery time period for not waiting several months.
An example of a very aggressive PCT plan includes:
- hCG – 2000 IU for 20 days (taken every 2 days)
- Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex) – 20 mg x 2 a day (taken continuously for a total of 45 days)
- Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid) – 50 mg x 2 a day (taken continuously for 30 days)
But remember this is a very aggressive PCT plan which is only required if Anavar is stacked with other harsh anabolic steroids and/ or they had a long cycle.
People who are using Anavar cycle alone or with other mild products and/ or in short cycles and/ or in low doses, then they may reduce the amount of products used (only Tamoxifen or Clomiphene together; or only one of them separately; reduce the amount of time to take them and/ or reduce the dosage).
A milder PCT plan is enough for milder steroid cycles.
It could be 50-100 mg a day of Clomid for 4-6 weeks with and/ or 20-40 mg a day of Nolvadex for 4-6 weeks.
Is important to remember that PCT for Anavar can be different depending on various factors. Cycle length, personal response, dosage, what/if other steroids were added to the cycle and so on and so forth.

- People who are planning to run a PCT plan, they should start it immediately after the anabolic steroid cycle ends. However, it should be calculated – the PCT plan should start after the last steroid leaves your body.
For example, Oxandrolone is having a half life of about 9-10 hours. But it can be different depending from a person to person and their liver health. For elder people it could be 13 hours or so. In order to make sure that you don’t have steroids left in your body, use the formula 5.5 x half life.
